Ingredients
1 packet tofu, pressed and water removed 1-1.5 tsp jeera 2 thai green chillis, sliced lengthwise 1 medium to large onion, chopped not too fine 1 bell pepper (colored), chopped 1/2 10 oz. packet peas 1/4-1/2 tsp haldi 1 flat tsp deggi mirch (adjust quantity if using hotter chilli powder) 1 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste 1-1.5 tsp salt 2 (regular) or 3 (small) Roma tomatos, chopped roughly 1 tsp. dhania powder 3/4 tsp aamchur powder 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp kalonji 2 tbsp. tomato ketchup chopped cilantro
Steps
After removing water, cut tofu into cubes and lightly fry in fake butter until light yellow-brown Take a pan and add some oil Add jeera seeds and after a minute add, chopped green chilli After 1-2 minutes, add chopped onions and fry. When onions have become pink, add haldi, ginger-garlic paste and deggi mirch Add chopped bell pepper and fry. After a couple of minutes of frying, add peas, and continue to fry until the mixture is well fried. When onions have become pinkish-brown, add tomatos, salt ,dhania powder and aamchur Fry well until tomatos are cooked (but do not overcook tomatos) Add tofu cubes and pepper powder and fry well At the end, add kalonji and fry for a couple of minutes. Stir in tomato ketchup and fry/mix for a minute or so. Switch off and add chopped cilantro.
