Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Pickle Amla
Ingredients
- 3 Pkt Cut Amla (312 G into 3)
- 1 tspn tamarind
- 12 garlic cloves
- 3 tsp red chilli powder heaped
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp methi powder
- 1 ladle oil
- 25 ml Lemon juice (if Required after tasting)
- For Tadka
- 1 ladle oil
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp tsp hing
- 3 red chilies broken
- 10 curry leaves cut into small pieces
- 12 garlic cloves cut into small pieces
Method:
- Heat oil for frying amlas.
- Fry them in 3 batches.
- When the oil is hot, fry them for 2 to 3 mins.
- Transfer to a Pot and Cool completely.
- cut and remove seeds
- Add 1 tsp heaped tamarind to this .
- then
- Add
- 3 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp Kashmiri Mirchi powder
- 1 tsp methi powder.
- Mix everything well.
- Add in the amla
- Mix everything well.
- Tadka
- Heat oil for seasoning.
- When the oil turns hot,
- add
- 2 tsp mustard
- 3 red chilies broken
- 12 curry leaves cut into small pieces
- 15 garlic cloves cut into small pieces
- after a minute
- add
- 1 tsp hing
- Pour this on the amla pickle
- Mix everything well
- Add 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirchi powder (For Color)
- Pour the lemon juice. (if Required after tasting)
