Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Pickle Amla

Ingredients

  1. 3 Pkt Cut Amla (312 G into 3)
  2. 1 tspn tamarind
  3. 12 garlic cloves
  4. 3 tsp red chilli powder heaped
  5. 2 tsp salt
  6. 1 tsp methi powder
  7. 1 ladle oil
  8. 25 ml Lemon juice (if Required after tasting)



  9. For Tadka

  10. 1 ladle oil
  11. 2 tsp mustard
  12. 1 tsp tsp hing
  13. 3 red chilies broken
  14. 10 curry leaves cut into small pieces
  15. 12 garlic cloves cut into small pieces

Method:

  1. Heat oil for frying amlas.
  2. Fry them in 3 batches.
  3. When the oil is hot, fry them for 2 to 3 mins.
  4. Transfer to a Pot and Cool completely.
  5. cut and remove seeds

  6. Add 1 tsp heaped tamarind to this .

  7. then
  8. Add
  9. 3 tsp red chili powder
  10. 2 tsp Kashmiri Mirchi powder
  11. 1 tsp methi powder.
  12. Mix everything well.

  13. Add in the amla
  14. Mix everything well.

  15. Tadka
  16. Heat oil for seasoning.
  17. When the oil turns hot,
  18. add
  19. 2 tsp mustard
  20. 3 red chilies broken
  21. 12 curry leaves cut into small pieces
  22. 15 garlic cloves cut into small pieces

  23. after a minute
  24. add
  25. 1 tsp hing

  26. Pour this on the amla pickle
  27. Mix everything well
  28. Add 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirchi powder (For Color)
  29. Pour the lemon juice. (if Required after tasting)
