Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Instant Pot Tomato Rice

Ingredients

  1. Basmati rice, rinsed- 1 and Half, 2 ,3 cups
  2. Oil- 2,2,3 tbsp

  3. Onion, chopped- 1 ,1,1.5

  4. Garlic Ginger paste 1,1,1.5 heaped tsp

  5. Green Jalapeno 2,2,3

  6. Curry leaves- 6,7,8 leaves chopped
  7. Tomatoes 1,1,2 small can

  8. Hand Blender

  9. one small bowl
  10. Cilantro, chopped

  11. One medium Bowl
  12. Kashmiri chili powder 1,1,1.5 tsp
  13. Coriander powder 2,2,3 tsp
  14. Garam Masala half,half,half tsp
  15. Salt- 2,2,3 tsp

  16. Water- 1.25,2,5,3.75 cups

Method:

  1. Saute Mode

  2. Add Oil 2 tbsp.
  3. Add onion, season with tsp salt.
  4. Add garlic ginger paste 1,1,1.5 heaped tsp
  5. Jalapenos
  6. Curry leaves.
  7. Cook the onions for 2 minutes.
  8. Add tomatoes can
  9. combine well and cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Add Kashmiri chili powder, coriander powder, Garam masala and salt
  11. combine well.
  12. Use Blender and mash
  13. Add water 1,75,2.5,3.75 cups and Basmati rice.

  14. Cancel

  15. Pressure cook High 8 minutes
  16. Delay Start 30 minutes

  17. Add Cilantro
