Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Instant Pot Tomato Rice
Ingredients
- Basmati rice, rinsed- 1 and Half, 2 ,3 cups
- Oil- 2,2,3 tbsp
- Onion, chopped- 1 ,1,1.5
- Garlic Ginger paste 1,1,1.5 heaped tsp
- Green Jalapeno 2,2,3
- Curry leaves- 6,7,8 leaves chopped
- Tomatoes 1,1,2 small can
- Hand Blender
- one small bowl
- Cilantro, chopped
- One medium Bowl
- Kashmiri chili powder 1,1,1.5 tsp
- Coriander powder 2,2,3 tsp
- Garam Masala half,half,half tsp
- Salt- 2,2,3 tsp
- Water- 1.25,2,5,3.75 cups
Method:
- Saute Mode
- Add Oil 2 tbsp.
- Add onion, season with tsp salt.
- Add garlic ginger paste 1,1,1.5 heaped tsp
- Jalapenos
- Curry leaves.
- Cook the onions for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes can
- combine well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add Kashmiri chili powder, coriander powder, Garam masala and salt
- combine well.
- Use Blender and mash
- Add water 1,75,2.5,3.75 cups and Basmati rice.
- Cancel
- Pressure cook High 8 minutes
- Delay Start 30 minutes
- Add Cilantro
