Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Instant Pot Bhindi Masala

Ingredients

  1. Two packets Bhindi (2 lbs)
  2. Microwave one minute
  3. do this two hours before

  4. One tomato Can

  5. One Steel Plate
  6. 1.5 large onion (chopped)

  7. One small bowl
  8. 1 heaped teaspoon COSTCO Minced Garlic

  9. One small bowl
  10. 2 tsp Salt

  11. One small bowl
  12. 2 tsp cumin seeds,

  13. one medium bowl
  14. 1/2 tsp Haldi powder
  15. 2 tsp Dhaniya powder/Coriander powder
  16. 1 tsp Chili powder
  17. 2 tsp Dry Amchur

  18. 1/4 can water

Method:

  1. Heat the instant pot in saute mode and add oil to it.
  2. Add 2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 heaped teaspoon COSTCO Minced Garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
  3. Add sliced onion and saute for 3 minutes.
  4. Add spices except SALT
  5. Add one can tomato
  6. Add Frozen okra.
  7. Add 1/4 can water
  8. Wait until frozen okra separates.
  9. Add Salt



  10. Hit cancel
  11. Pressure cook mode for 3 minutes at High pressure.
  12. When the instant pot beeps,
  13. quick pressure release.
  14. Stir the okra gently.
  15. Place in Saute mode 6 mins .
