Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Instant Pot Bhindi Masala
Ingredients
- Two packets Bhindi (2 lbs)
- Microwave one minute
- do this two hours before
- One tomato Can
- One Steel Plate
- 1.5 large onion (chopped)
- One small bowl
- 1 heaped teaspoon COSTCO Minced Garlic
- One small bowl
- 2 tsp Salt
- One small bowl
- 2 tsp cumin seeds,
- one medium bowl
- 1/2 tsp Haldi powder
- 2 tsp Dhaniya powder/Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 2 tsp Dry Amchur
- 1/4 can water
Method:
- Heat the instant pot in saute mode and add oil to it.
- Add 2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 heaped teaspoon COSTCO Minced Garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add sliced onion and saute for 3 minutes.
- Add spices except SALT
- Add one can tomato
- Add Frozen okra.
- Add 1/4 can water
- Wait until frozen okra separates.
- Add Salt
- Hit cancel
- Pressure cook mode for 3 minutes at High pressure.
- When the instant pot beeps,
- quick pressure release.
- Stir the okra gently.
- Place in Saute mode 6 mins .
