Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Instant Pot Aloo Poori Subji
Ingredients
- One Large onion - finely chopped
- 9 Medium Potatoes/14 small potatoes
- Green Serano Chilli 3 finely chopped
- Curry Leaves 3 Sprigs
- Coriander Leaves
- One small saucer
- Pinch of Hing
- One small bowl
- 2 tsp mustard seeds
- One medium bowl
- Ginger 2 tsp finely chopped
- Green Serano Chilli 3 finely chopped
- One medium bowl
- Urad dal 2 tsp
- Channa Dal 2 tsp
- Curry Leaves 3 sprigs/ chopped
- One small bowl
- Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
- Salt 2 tsp
- One small bowl
- Coriander leaves chopped
- One steel Plate
- One large onion finely chopped
Method:
- Boil 9 potatoes in Instant pot
- Choose STEAM option
- Place Trivet in Pot
- Pour 1 cup water
- Place 9 Potatoes on Trivet
- Steam on HI pressure for 10 min,
- then NPR (wait 10 minutes, release steam)and
- remove immediately
- Wait to cool
- peel skin off
- mash/press Potates
- Take Large Frying Pan with Lid
- Add Oil - one Ladle oil
- heat till it liquidifies
- Add Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
- Add Hing - a pinch
- Ginger - 2 tsp finely chopped
- Green Chilli - 3 finely chopped
- stir
- Add onions
- mix and stir for 5 minutes
- Add Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
- Add Salt 2 tsp
- Stir
- move to border of pan
- Add in center of pan
- Urad dal - 4 tsp
- Channa Dal - 4 tsp
- Curry Leaves - 3 sprigs/ chopped
- Keep stirring.
- Add One-third potatoes
- Stir
- Add Remaining Potatoes
- Keep stirring
- Add one medium bowl water
- Add Lemon - 2 Tbsp concentrate
- and stir
- For Garnishing
- Add coriander leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
