Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Aloo Shimla Mirch subji

Ingredients

  1. 12 Potatoes -steamed , peeled, sliced

  2. 2 Tbsp ginger Garlic Paste

  3. One Plate
  4. 5 Shimla Mirch -chopped Medium small

  6. One large Onion -Peeled and Sliced

  7. one can tomato

  8. One Medium Bowl
  9. Two Jalapenos- sliced

  10. One Small bowl
  11. 1/8 tsp (pinch) of hing

  12. One Small Bowl
  13. 2 tsp cumin seeds

  14. One Medium Bowl
  15. 2 tsp red chili powder
  16. 1 tsp haldi
  17. 2 tsp salt
  18. 1 tsp dhania powder
  19. 1/2 tsp garam masala

Method:

  1. Instant Pot
  2. 1 cup water +
  3. 12 medium white potatoes on trivet,
  4. HI pressure for 10 min,
  5. NPR

  6. 1 large onion - chopped

  7. 4 Simla Mirch, cut into small pieces to cook better

  8. 2 jalapenos, chopped

  9. Take Large Pan
  10. Heat 1 ladle oil
  11. Fry:
  12. 1/8 tsp (pinch) of hing
  13. 2 tsp cumin seeds - fry 1 min
  14. jalapenos,
  15. onions - fry for 5 minutes

  16. 2 Tbsp ginger Garlic Paste
  17. simla mirch - fry another 2-3 minutes

  18. Add and fry for 1-2 minutes:
  19. 2 tsp red chili powder
  20. 1 tsp haldi
  21. 2 tsp salt
  22. 1 tsp dhania powder
  23. 1/2 tsp garam masala

  24. Add potatoes and mix well

  25. Add 1 can tomatoes and mix well and fry 5 minutes

  26. Shut off heat and
  27. add 2 Tbsp lemon juice and mix gently

  28. Add 1 tsp salt to Taste
