Geethu's Kitchen - Unni's Aloo Shimla Mirch subji
Ingredients
- 12 Potatoes -steamed , peeled, sliced
- 2 Tbsp ginger Garlic Paste
- One Plate
- 5 Shimla Mirch -chopped Medium small
- One Plate
- One large Onion -Peeled and Sliced
- one can tomato
- One Medium Bowl
- Two Jalapenos- sliced
- One Small bowl
- 1/8 tsp (pinch) of hing
- One Small Bowl
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- One Medium Bowl
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp haldi
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dhania powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
Method:
- Instant Pot
- 1 cup water +
- 12 medium white potatoes on trivet,
- HI pressure for 10 min,
- NPR
- 1 large onion - chopped
- 4 Simla Mirch, cut into small pieces to cook better
- 2 jalapenos, chopped
- Take Large Pan
- Heat 1 ladle oil
- Fry:
- 1/8 tsp (pinch) of hing
- 2 tsp cumin seeds - fry 1 min
- jalapenos,
- onions - fry for 5 minutes
- 2 Tbsp ginger Garlic Paste
- simla mirch - fry another 2-3 minutes
- Add and fry for 1-2 minutes:
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp haldi
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dhania powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Add potatoes and mix well
- Add 1 can tomatoes and mix well and fry 5 minutes
- Shut off heat and
- add 2 Tbsp lemon juice and mix gently
- Add 1 tsp salt to Taste
