Geethu's Kitchen - Paru's Tofu Tikka

Ingredients

- 2 x 16 oz Azi (safeway) Extra firm tofu, pressed, then diced
- 1/2 tsp haldi
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 4 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp rice flour
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste (optional)
- 1 large red onion, diced
- 1 heaped Tbsp Costco minced garlic OR 1 heaped tsp ginger-garlic paste if using in marinade
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Paav Bhaji OR Shahi Paneer Masala
- 1 can Costco tomato paste
Method:
- Make a runny paste of b) - g) with enough water in a large steel bowl
- Marinate diced tofu in it for 20-30 minutes
- In 1 ladle oil fry onion and garlic for ~5 minutes on MED after heated thru on HI
- Add and fry the marinated tofu for ~5 minutes
- Add salt and Shahi Paneer Masala and fry to mix well
- In same steel bowl make a runny paste of of the tomato paste
- Add tomato paste, mix thorougly and then cover and cook on LO for 10min
