Geethu's Kitchen - Paru's Tofu Tikka

Ingredients

  2. 2 x 16 oz Azi (safeway) Extra firm tofu, pressed, then diced
  3. 1/2 tsp haldi
  4. 1 tsp garam masala
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. 1 Tbsp chili powder
  7. 4 Tbsp cornstarch
  8. 2 Tbsp rice flour
  9. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste (optional)

  10. 1 large red onion, diced
  11. 1 heaped Tbsp Costco minced garlic OR 1 heaped tsp ginger-garlic paste if using in marinade
  12. 1 tsp salt
  13. 2 tsp Paav Bhaji OR Shahi Paneer Masala

  14. 1 can Costco tomato paste

Method:

  1. Make a runny paste of b) - g) with enough water in a large steel bowl
  2. Marinate diced tofu in it for 20-30 minutes

  3. In 1 ladle oil fry onion and garlic for ~5 minutes on MED after heated thru on HI
  4. Add and fry the marinated tofu for ~5 minutes
  5. Add salt and Shahi Paneer Masala and fry to mix well
  6. In same steel bowl make a runny paste of of the tomato paste
  7. Add tomato paste, mix thorougly and then cover and cook on LO for 10min
