Geethu's Kitchen - Paru's Quick Chole
Ingredients
- 2 cups garbanzo beans (soaked overnight in salt water, then rinsed)
- 2 medium onions, chopped (x 2 x 4 x 2)
- 3-4 jalapenos, chopped
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 small flat tsp turmeric
- 1 small heaped tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp amchur
- 2 heaped tsp chana masala
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 heaped Tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp chaat masala
Method:
- Mix rinsed beans, onions, jalapenos with enough water and salt and spices
- Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste and mix again and add water as needed
- Pressure cook for 40 minutes
- Open and stir in chaat masala
