Geethu's Kitchen - Paru's Quick Chole

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups garbanzo beans (soaked overnight in salt water, then rinsed)
  2. 2 medium onions, chopped (x 2 x 4 x 2)
  3. 3-4 jalapenos, chopped
  4. 2 cans diced tomatoes
  5. 2 tsp salt
  6. 1 small flat tsp turmeric
  7. 1 small heaped tsp chilli powder
  8. 1 tsp amchur
  9. 2 heaped tsp chana masala
  10. 2 tsp cumin seeds
  11. 1 heaped Tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  12. 1 tsp chaat masala

Method:

  1. Mix rinsed beans, onions, jalapenos with enough water and salt and spices
  2. Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste and mix again and add water as needed
  3. Pressure cook for 40 minutes

  4. Open and stir in chaat masala
