Geethu's Kitchen - Geethu's Tofu bhujia

Ingredients

  1. 3 pkts firm tofu
  2. 3/4 large onion
  3. 3-4 medium Roma tomatoes
  4. 3/4 cup frozen peas
  5. 2 colored bell peppers
  6. 13 Thai green chillis, chopped
  7. 4 - 5 tbsp chopped ginger
  8. 1 tsp (3 - 4 large cloves) chopped garlic
  9. 2 tsp jeera
  10. Chopped cilantro
  11. 1tsp rock salt + 1.5 tsp salt
  12. 3/4 tsp haldi
  13. 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  14. 1 tsp dhania powder
  15. 1/2 tsp curry powder
  16. 1 full (not heaped) tsp paav bhaji masala
  17. 1 tsp aamchur
  18. 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  19. 1 tsp kalonji
  20. 1.5 tbsp ketchup

Method:

  1. One large ladle oil. After oil is hot, add jeera + 1/8 tsp hing
  2. Chopped green chilli + chopped ginger + chopped garlic (if raw)
  3. Add chopped onion. After pinkish-brown, add bell pepper. After frying for a few minutes,
  4. add haldi, dhania powder, curry powder.
  5. After frying for a few minutes, add aamchur, pepper, garlic(if not raw), jeera powder, pav bhaji masala
  6. Peas
  7. Kalonji
  8. Chopped tomatoes. Salt + rock salt
  9. Cook till you have a mushy mixture
  10. Tofu
  11. Cilantro
  12. Ketchup
