Geethu's Kitchen - Geethu's Saravana Tomato Chutney
Ingredients
- 8 Roma tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 1 small red onion, roughly sliced
- 8 garlic pods, sliced thick
- 8 long dry red chillis
- 8-10 small sprigs of curry leaves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp haldi powder
- For tadka:
- 1.5 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp jeera seeds
- 6 garlic pods, sliced
- 1/4 - 1/8 tsp hing
- 2 small dry round red chillies
- 2-3 small sprigs of curry leaves
Method:
- Order of frying in 2-3 tbsp oil:
- Garlic
- Red chillis
- Onion + Dry Curry leaves
- Tomatoes
- Salt + Haldi
- 4.5 cups idli rava + 2.25 cups urad dal =60 idlis
- Dosa: 4 dal + 3 rice; 3 dal + 2.25 rice
